Entry criteria:

Full competition criteria can be found HERE.

As in previous years, formers winners of London events since 2009 will be expected to play in the next level event at London, otherwise, pipers should enter competitions in line with their grading.

In light of the John Roe Plate being the 2020 Silver Medal qualifier, please note the following changes in criteria for John Roe Plate and Snuff Mull Piobaireachd competitions:

John Roe Plate (Silver Medal Qualifier): Open to all pipers graded B, subject to the notes below.

Snuff Mull: Open to all pipers graded A, prequalified B grade Silver Medal competitors for the following year, and previous winners of the John Roe Plate, subject to the notes below.

Note (1) that B grade pipers who are previous winners of the John Roe Plate will be expected to play in the Snuff Mull.  However, if the previous winner is not yet pre-qualified for the Silver Medal 2020 they can elect to play in the John Roe Plate 2019; if the previous winner elects to compete in the John Roe Plate in order to attempt to qualify for the Silver Medal 2020 then, in order to manage numbers across events, that player will not be allowed to enter for the Snuff Mull.

Note (2) that B grade pipers who have already qualified for the 2020 Silver Medal (either through winning a 2019 Silver Medal qualifier event or winning a prize in the 2019 Silver Medal at Oban or Inverness) will be expected to compete in the Snuff Mull.
