The committee advises that there is a strict dress code in operation at The Caledonian Club and this applies to all competitors, guests and spectators at the Annual Competition. Strictly: no jeans, trainers or t-shirts.

Accommodation

In previous years the SPSL has sought a preferential rate with The Copthorne Tara, as a recommended hotel close to the previous venue. With the move to a new competition venue, there will no longer be a recommended hotel with which we negotiate a preferential rate.

Should you wish to stay in the familiar surroundings of The Copthorne Tara, to get from there to The Caledonian Club, travel via the London Underground Circle Line from Kensington High Street to Gloucester Road, then change to Piccadilly line to travel to Hyde Park Corner. This journey should take 20-25 minutes.

In the vicinity of The Caledonian Club there are a number of popular hotel brands, although some of these may exceed the anticipated budget for those travelling to the competition. In the vicinity of Victoria Station there are a number of budget hotels. Competitors may want to consider the following:

Car Parking

• The Caledonian Club has negotiated discount parking at NCP Cadogan Place Car Park. In order to receive the discount, a pre-loaded card is required which may be obtained from Reception. Charges after the discount are £8.25 per hour and £36 for 24 hours. Free street parking: 18.30-8.30, after 13.00 Saturday and all-day Sunday.
