The SPSL was established in 1932 to promote the Great Highland Bagpipe in the London region. We run one of the UK's top bagpipe competitions, which includes the prestigious Bratach Gorm. We also hold regular classes and recitals for those with a passion for piping. Willie McCallum Recital - ReportSPSL Piping co-ordinator Roddy Livingstone writes: On Saturday 22nd September, some forty enthusiasts gathered at the London Welsh Centre, Grays Inn Road, for the Scottish Piping Society of London's first event after the summer break. The guest recitalist was Willie McCallum, probably the most consistent and succesful competing piper of the last twenty five years. Fresh from winning yet another Royal Scottish Pipers Society Silver Star at Inverness at the start of the month and having just secured his eighth overall championship at the 'Springbank Invitational' in Campbeltown, the audience anticipated a great evening and were not disappointed. 80th Anniversary Concert Report (Including the raffle winner)

The Scottish Piping Society of London continued its year of celebratory events marking our eightieth birthday with a concert/recital held at the London Welsh Centre, Grays Inn Road, London on 30th June 2012 organised by SPSL Vice President Jackie Roberts. The meeting was well attended and it was gratifying to see so many members showing up and actively participating in proceedings. All members will get a copy of the Minutes of the AGM, as normal, but it is appropriate to single out one item for additional publicity.
